Laminated Windshields

Laminated glass is the industry standard for windshields. They must meet strict criteria because they protect the occupants in every type of vehicle from the shattered glass upon impact. This type of glass is stronger and can withstand stronger impacts while reducing glass scatter in unforeseen situations.

Laminated glass is produced by bonding two layers of glass (clear or tinted) over layers of resin sheeting. After heating and pressure treatment, it forms one solid piece of glass that is designed to be incredibly resilient and resistant to breakage.

These windshields are made by layering tiny, almost imperceptible tungsten wires in-between the glass sheets prior to the lamination process. When the electrical charge is engaged, they raise the surface temperature to just above freezing. This keeps ice and condensation from building up and keeps a clear view.
